Work Pattern – 40hrs pw, Mon-Fri, 7am - 3pm, 42 weeks work per year 

Sodexo and our clients are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults within a regulated activity. This role will require applicants to undergo screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and/ or Disclosure Scotland.  

What you’ll do:
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of all meal services, ensuring quality and satisfaction.
  • Implement and maintain food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
  • Organise and execute special functions, delivering exceptional service.
  • Maintain strict budgetary control while enhancing the customer experience.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with individuals across the company and client organisation.
  • Utilise the school’s cashless system and ensure all administrative tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Innovate in food presentation and actively engage in curriculum-based food activities.
 
What you bring:
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills with an Enhanced DBS Clearance.
  • Qualified with 706/2 or NVQ2 chef qualification or equivalent, and previous catering experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage with customers, clients, and staff at all levels.
  • Hold an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate with a strong focus on hygiene and safety standards.
  • Capable of managing time effectively and working well under pressure.
  • Computer literate with a proactive approach to learning and development.
  • Experience in managing budgets and understanding of financial acumen is desirable.
