Change Communications Manager

We have an exciting new opportunity available to join our UK & Ireland Brand and Communications team as Change Communications Manager. As the Change Communications Manager, you will also be a key member of a number of other project teams, influencing decision-making, managing a diverse network of stakeholders, and leading or supporting others with the development and delivery of high-quality communications strategies, campaign plans and creative content - to capture people’s attention and inspire them to change their behaviours.  

You’ll be joining a well-established team with heaps of energy and experience, who can’t wait to welcome the newest member of their team.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Act as communications business partner to a number of key strategic change programmes
  • Understand the business challenges and opportunities of each change programme, and translate into impactful communications solutions
  • Develop, review, agree (with project teams) and deliver change communications strategies, working in partnership with business communications managers and the wider Brand & Communications team
  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging campaigns in line with agreed strategies for designated programmes, as well as overarching regional communications strategies
  • Develop, and enable effective deployment of, comprehensive stakeholder engagement maps and plans
  • Effective financial management of agreed creative budgets for each initiative, ensuring value for money at every turn
  • Ensure customer satisfaction of internal project stakeholders through effective client management, timely delivery of work, and regular reporting
  • Develop and deliver high-quality, written content for internal (and, occasionally, external) channels, in support of agreed initiatives, and working with wider Employee & Change Communications team
  • Work with global and regional dimensions (e.g. Operations, HR) to ensure alignment of activities with other regional, segment and global strategies and plans
  • Support the Employee and Change Communications Director with other UK&I projects as reasonably requested.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 3+ years’ experience in change and / or internal communications roles (in-house or agency)
  • Proven success in developing and executing change communications strategies and campaign plans
  • Evidence of understanding and successful application of change management and / or communication theory
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Resilient and able to deal with ambiguity
  • Strong people skills

Desirable

  • Degree-level qualification in strategic communications, public relations, internal communication, or journalism
  • Membership of professional body (e.g. CIPR, IOIC)

Package Description

Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Fixed term - 18 months (March 2020 to August 2021)
