Central Accomodation Booking System Operator

Job Introduction
To undertake the operation of the Central Accommodation Booking System (CABS) in accordance with instructions given by Line Manager.
Role Responsibility
The post-holder is responsible for:
- Receiving and acting upon requests for accommodation within the designated area using a computer based booking system.
- Liaising between ‘Requester’ and persons responsible for accommodation areas.
- Preparation and despatch of faxes and email associated with booking requests.
- Keeping a daily log of all tasks to be undertaken.
- General office duties such as filing, faxing and photocopying.
- On occasion to accompany Line Manager on unit visits for purposes of training and data capture.
- Inputting of captured or altered data into system.
- General housekeeping of system.
- Developing one’s own skills and knowledge within the current role.
The Ideal Candidate
The post-holder should possess the following professional qualifications and skills:
- Previous clerical experience.
- IT literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Good comprehension skills in both written and spoken English.
- Clear, polite and confident telephone manner.
- Adherence to Company Procedures at all times regarding Quality, Health and Safety and Security.
