Catering and Business Manager
Job Introduction
Sodexo have an opening for a Catering Business Manager to join the team based on site at Hollister, Ballina, Co Mayo one of the region's leading employers.
A great opportunity for an experienced and engaging hands-on people manager with a background in the food services industry. You’ll manage the production of all catering and cleaning services across the site and have the support of a dedicated administrator, onsite Head Chef, Team Leaders on each shift and an established team who support each other.
This role is the key point of contact for our client and our employees, and the successful candidate will be committed to delivering our SLA’s and developing long term client relationships.
Role Responsibility
- To motivate and lead our catering and cleaning teams to perform their roles to their full potential and in alignment with Sodexo’s policies and procedures
- Championing a safe and healthy environment for our customers and employees
- Ensuring that all costs are within the agreed budgeted levels
- To maximise profitable sales by the introduction and maintenance of food service brands
- Monitoring and maintaining consistent methods of food preparation, production, presentation, and service for all meals ensuring they comply with Sodexo’s standard and procedures and meet the agreed specification of our contract.
- Conduct regular reviews of current operating costs, margins, controls, and menu costings to ensure Sodexo is achieving optimum profit.
- To understand and maintain the standards and integrity of the service offer and our SLA.
- To carry out a daily service audit and perform activities detailed in the service offer manual under Key Performance Indicators to the frequency and level required.
- Ensure financial documentation and accountancy of the unit (and those from suppliers) is accurate and within agreed budgeted levels.
- Comply with all Company and client policies, procedures, and statutory regulations, including human resources, site rules, health and safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire, COSHH.
The Ideal Candidate
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience gained from within the food services industry, ideally with a Hotel or Industrial Catering background
- Strong communication and client relationship management skills
- Able to manage budgets and achieve financial targets
- Experience of leading and developing a team to their full potential
- Ability to set and achieve standards and operate to performance criteria.
- Able to forward plan and enjoys being responsible for delivering targets
Desirable
- Food Safety training
- IOSH certificate or equivalent
