Catering & Soft Services Manager
Location: Cistercian College, Roscrea
Salary: Up to 50,000 Euros
As a Catering & Soft Services Manager at Sodexo Cistercian College, you are a dedicated leader and key driver of operational excellence. This role is crucial in managing a 7-day-a-week boarding school catering and cleaning contract, ensuring high standards of service and client satisfaction.
In this position, you will oversee a team of 20 Sodexo and client staff, managing all aspects of catering and housekeeping services. Your expertise will help maintain financial control, deliver exceptional service, and foster a positive working environment.
What you’ll do:
• Manage the financial aspects of catering and facilities operations, ensuring adherence to budget and financial guidelines.
• Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of premises, upholding safe working practices at all times.
• Control expenditure, including payment of wages, overtime, and other employee-related costs.
• Represent Sodexo at client meetings and ensure service standards align with agreed-upon performance indicators.
• Recruit, train, and manage staff, promoting good employee relations and adhering to company policies.
• Monitor and maintain food and hygiene standards to meet client and Sodexo expectations.
• Manage special functions and promotions, ensuring they meet quality standards and budget constraints.
• Oversee housekeeping services, ensuring compliance with cleaning specifications and health and safety guidelines.
What you bring:
• 2-3 years of leadership and supervisory experience.
• Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Solid financial acumen and good front-of-house skills.
• Relevant vocational qualifications and an HND or equivalent are advantageous.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and business development.
