Job Introduction

As a Catering Manager at Sodexo based on site at Priory Hospital Bristol, you are also a natural leader and a food safety expert. Your passion for food and organizational excellence will lead an entire food and beverage production. You’ll lead a team who pride themselves on delivering a high-quality service to patients and staff 365 days a year. This is a hands-on catering management role, and you will be involved in the day-to-day kitchen duties on an ad hoc basis; be prepared and happy to get involved!

Main Responsibilities

What you'll do:

Manage and develop a customer focussed patient catering service.
Ensure that the patient catering service is delivered to the contractual agreement in an efficient and effective manner.
Drive the development of the retail coffee shop offer, ensuring budgetary targets and profit margins are achieved and maintained.
Lead and manage all catering (retail & patient dining) employees.
Cover service requirements in the absence of the daily chef in the onsite kitchens
Ensure services remain within budgetary remit.
Responsible for compliance on food and H&S legislation

The Ideal Candidate

What you bring

Proven experience of leading a team within a comparable service environment, Healthcare experience desirable but not essential
Financial awareness and understanding - cost control, revenues & margin within a Catering service.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, colleagues, clients.
Ability to work independently, flexibly and professionally – dealing with stressful and changeable situations.
Experience of delivering relevant training, using company guidelines
Understanding of relevant Health and Safety, Employment and other legislative requirements
Strong attention to detail and adherence to standards
Proven IT skills, ability to demonstrate working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Ability to deal with stressful situations with a flexible approach to the role
Analyse problems analytically, develop opportunities and implement innovative solutions.
