Job Introduction
As a Catering Services Manager at Sodexo in DPD, you play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional food quality, compliance with food safety and health regulations, and maintaining a motivated team. What you’ll do:
• Ensure all food services meet agreed client and company standards.
• Motivate and lead catering employees to high-performance standards
• Identify opportunities for business growth within the contract and external market
• Drive margin through adherence to recipes and drive sales by keeping the food offer fresh and up-to-date
• Ensure exceptional service at the point of delivery, exceeding standards and meeting client objectives
• Complete weekly stock checks for accuracy on GP and stock holding
• Implement opportunities to drive Sodexo revenue and labor productivity
• Coach and mentor the team, addressing areas for improvement and planning marketing initiatives
• Ensure compliance with company, client policies, site rules, and statutory regulations
• Maintain equipment in safe working order and report any faults to management
• Compile and agree on an annual business plan, initiating continuous improvement processes
• Address incidents, accidents, theft, or irregularities promptly and take appropriate action
• Deliver team huddles, cascade information, and complete necessary documentation
• Address failures in compliance or initiatives, investigate reasons, and develop performance
• Help out at other DPD sites when required for consistency across the group
What you bring:
• Ability to work shifts to ensure visibility on all services
• Must have a car and transport (mileage expenses will be paid)
• Experience and knowledge in catering services management
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead teams to high performance
• Strong understanding of food safety and health regulations
• Excellent communication and coaching skills
• Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
• Hands-on approach and willingness to cover staff when required
