Catering Assistant

Job Introduction

Catering Assistant – Fixed Term (6 months)
Location: Diageo, Leven Banbeath Industrial Estate, Leven, Fife, Scotland
Working Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday 9am–2pm, Friday 9am–11.30am
Hourly Rate: £12.60

Are you passionate about food and delivering excellent customer service? Do you thrive in a busy kitchen environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Catering Assistant to join our team at Diageo Leven on a 6-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

You’ll play a vital role supporting the Head Chef in preparing and serving meals, maintaining kitchen hygiene standards, and ensuring a smooth operation of the catering service.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with food preparation and basic cooking duties

  • Serve food to customers courteously and professionally

  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and service areas

  • Follow health and safety procedures, including food hygiene standards

  • Support the wider catering team as required

What you bring:

  • A positive and proactive attitude

  • Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Willingness to undergo all pre-employment checks (screening form, RTW check, and Helux induction)
