Car Park Attendant
Job Introduction
We are currently seeking to recruit a reliable and hardworking team player to work as Car Park Attendant at University of Greenwich at Medway Campus.
As a Car Park Attendant, your duties will include patrolling the car parks and issuing Parking & Penalty Charge Notices to vehicles that are parked in contravention of the restrictions. You may also be required to provide assistance in using ticket machines and complete basic housekeeping tasks such as cleaning ticket machines
Applicants need to be able to work well both individually and as part of a team. You also need to have good interpersonal and literacy skills as you will be dealing with Students, faculty, and visitors on a daily basis, as well as recording information on parking charge and penalty notices issued. In addition, you need to be able to follow procedures and guidelines.
As you will be dealing with cash your employment offer will be subject to a 5-year background check (including a CRB and CCJ check).
Reporting to the site Security manager, you will be required to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00 - 16.00 hrs. Full training and uniform are provided.
What you’ll do:
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems
- Assembles, repairs, maintains, and moves furniture
- Respond to hot and cold calls, then troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Make sure that the building is in the best condition for the employees who work there
- Assist other skilled trades
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures

- Experience in similar role or strong transitional skills
- Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect
- Good attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
