Café Manager

Sodexo Live! have a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Café Manager to join our team based at The Royal Air Force Museum in Hendon.

This is a busy varied role, and your focus will be to ensure the effective operation of Café’s on site and support where necessary through the provision of team management and service delivery. Reporting directly into our General Manager, you will manage a small team ensuring the Café and FOH always run smoothly.
We are looking for a positive, passionate, enthusiastic, and motivated Cafe Manager who is skilled in customer experience, good at situational decision making and has a great eye for detail. You will thrive on a challenge and have strong interest in really making a difference. Role Responsibility
- Responsible for managing standards and quality across all area of the Café's and Front of House operation
- Work collaboratively with other Supervisors and team to develop the Café product and standards of service
- Effectively manage the Front of House service team, ensuring that all daily departmental procedures are followed
- Train and develop team members in an engaging and supportive manner
- Manage daily takings, adhering to company credit, cash and purchasing policies at all times
- Comply with all Company policies, procedures and statutory regulations, including human resources, health and safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH
- Deputise in the absence of the General Manager

The Ideal Candidate
Essential
- Proven consistent experience at café management level within a high-volume restaurant/cafe environment
- Able to communicate effectively
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Cash handling experience
- High standards of personal presentation
- Foundation certificate in Food Safety and Health & Safety
- IT skills
Desirable:
- Personal Licence
- Good level of food and wine knowledge
- Coaching skills
- Training techniques
- Good awareness of industry standards

£35,000pa + great benefits

Work Pattern - 40hrs pw 5/7 to include weekends on a rota basis 9.00-17.30
