Building Fabric General Operative

Sodexo is seeking a dedicated General Operative to join our facilities team at Pfizer Newbridge. This role is vital for someone who is skilled in maintenance and repairs and is passionate about ensuring the facility is maintained to the highest standards. What you’ll do:

Conduct maintenance and repairs in office, plant rooms, and production areas, both planned and reactive.

Collaborate with the facilities team to uphold high-quality standards throughout the facility.

Manage daily worklists generated by the helpdesk and prioritize tasks in conjunction with the building lead.

Liaise with clients for permit/access approvals and supervise or escort subcontractors within the facility.

Perform conditional surveys of fabric areas and report findings to the helpdesk.

Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy work area, adhering to company and statutory regulations.

Uphold a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance, wearing the specified company uniform.

What you bring:

Trade qualification is desired but not essential.

Broad experience in maintaining general building elements like doors, walls, ceilings, etc.

Experience in a similar role, preferably within a GMP/Pharmaceutical environment, is desirable.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.

Ability to work independently and proactively, with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
