Brand & Category Manager – Internal Coffee & Bakery

Job Introduction

The Brand & Category Manager – Internal Coffee & Bakery is a customer centric, highly commercial role that manages the optimal portfolio of internal coffee brands & bakery lines - enabling contract retention and new business growth.
 

Sodexo has a diverse range of coffee & bakery concepts and brands due to the breath of customer segments (Healthcare, Corporate Services, Government & Agencies, Universities, Energy & Resource, Sodexo Live! and Schools) where we operate.

Role Responsibility

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand portfolio management: Deliver brand portfolio reviews with each of the business segments above  to define the optimal portfolio across the category
  • Coffee category expertise: Drive category, consumer, competitor understanding. Identify and communicate key insights, risks & opportunities.
  • Brand plan: Defining annual commercial plan detailing planned product, pricing and promotional strategy to deliver sales and profit targets across the portfolio
  • Brand proposition: Responsible for evolving the inernal brands, providing clear guidelines for all elements of the brand experience.
  • Brand & campaign management: Creation & ddelivery of annual B2C marketing campaign calendar to drive performance through customer frequency and spend. Creation of compelling B2B sales tools to drive growth.
  • Category management/NPD: Define and deliver category innovation underpinned by commercial and consumer insight, linking to core brand values.
  • Performance delivery: Monthly reviews of brand performance utilising insight to inform commercial plans
 

The Ideal Candidate

  • 5-8 years experience in relevant sectors and roles
  • Experience in portfolio management
  • Retail: store & digital marketing experience
  • Has a pulse on industry trends
  • Strong brand and commercial marketing background
  • Excellent stakeholder management with experience influencing in a complex business
  • Highly analytical and the ability to evaluate multiple sources of information to make decisions
  • Experience in working with multi-cultural teams/environments.
  • Strong time management skills/ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A motivated self-starter, always looking at new opportunities and identifying ways to optimize the brand
  • Must be proficient in Excel specifically and have a good knowledge of Microsoft teams/Powerpoint
