Role Responsibility
We are looking to create a new centralised bid team to ensure an efficient, agile bid process, this will allow us to work together across the sectors drawing on our capability as a business whilst driving best practise. As part of that new team we need to recruit Bid Writers to prepare high quality, innovative and market leading bid documents; pivotal to the sales strategy these roles are key in developing and growing the Sodexo business. You will work across the bid team and the greater Sodexo business to review bid responses ensuring the clients requirement are met whilst a clear message is delivered. Building close relationships with internal communications teams and subject matter experts to ensure the business development function is utilising the most current information. You will contribute to the bid process by writing effective, client responsive submissions to meet tender requirements.
You will be responsible for editing and proof reading final copy to ensure it is of a high quality, an interesting read and appropriately reflects win themes and the image of Sodexo. In addition you will analyse industry and competitor trends to ensure tenders are market leading, whist continually identifying and implementing process improvements.
The Ideal Candidate
- Excellent writing skills with strong focus on attention to detail, proven track record of successfully delivering multiple projects on time
- Experience of analysing complex information, preparing an initial brief and identifying key tasks
- Relevant professional writing or journalistic experience
- Experience of bid writing within a business development environment is desirable but not essential
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage complex tenders, precise scheduling and multiple and shifting priorities.
- Excellent proficiency in word and ms office and ideally Adobe
