Location: Hybrid working with travel to our London & Salford offices
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + excellent range of employee benefits
Sodexo are currently recruiting for an experienced Bid Writer to join our established UK and Ireland Sales team.
In this role you will play an integral part in creating compelling proposals and bids to secure new business, as well as supporting with the retention and cross selling opportunities on existing contracts.
Leading the provision of high-quality bid writing on bids of various size, scale, and complexity, you will work proactively with key stakeholders in the bid process.
Developing high-quality written proposals informed by an integrated approach, you will have the opportunity to work on multiple bids with an average turnaround time of four to eight weeks.
This position offers a hybrid working approach with some on site working required during peak periods. Peaks may require onsite working with our bid team in our Salford or London offices for up to 3 days in a week. As well as occasional travel for internal/external meeting.

About You
To be considered for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the following areas:
- A minimum of 2 years' proven experience in a bid writing role, working as part of a successful bid team
- A strong understanding of bid writing best practices, bid processes and methodologies
- A proven track record of successfully bidding to win contracts and opportunities
- Demonstrable experience working with senior individuals, subject matter experts and other key stakeholders to gather the information required to craft high-quality, compelling proposals
- An ability to challenge senior stakeholders where required, to drive the design of client-focused solutions that meet client requirements
- Strong written English language skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient MS Office skills
- Good time management and prioritisation skills
Desirable experience
- Certified to APMP Foundation level or above.
- Experience of bidding in at least one of the following: Facilities Management, Security, Food or Technical Services
- Winning Sales experience (e.g. Bid Manager, Bid Writer, Solution Manager BDM etc.)
- Experience in our target client sectors (Media / Tech / Finance / Prof Services / Engineering / FMCG etc.)
- Relevant qualifications / accreditations / affiliations
- Experience of using technology to deliver bid solutions (AI, chatGPT etc)
