Bid Writer (6 month FTC)

Job Introduction

Sodexo Justice Services delivers custodial and community rehabilitation services that challenge offending behaviour, protect the public and offer individuals the opportunity to change their lives for the better. We deliver the total operation of five prisons within England, Scotland and Wales and own six Community Rehabilitation Companies in partnership with crime reduction charity Nacro.

We are looking for a Bid Writer for an initial 6 month fixed term contract to support in the development of compliant, coherent tender responses for Sodexo Justice’s business growth in Australia.

Please note you will not be required to travel to Australia.

Role Responsibility

  • Analyse the requirements of a RFP and decide what information needs to be included in the bid response
  • Conduct any additional research that is required to develop the responses 
  • Develop responses by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation; writing, revising, and editing drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organisation credentials.
  • Deliver completed written proposal responses against agreed RFP deadlines, escalating issues as required
  • Re-write/edit proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders

The Ideal Candidate

  • Outstanding writing, editing and verbal communication skills
  • Graduate or proven experience of proposal writing, preferably within the criminal justice or PPP environment
  • Familiar with Office 2007, including MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and MS Project
  • Excellent working experience of Microsoft Word
  • Deadline driven with effective time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
  • Show high levels of commitment and initiative to ensure winning submissions

Package Description

£30,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience
