Role Responsibility

· Managing the bar area
· Working as part of a team and work Front of House
· Assisting with the food service

The Ideal Candidate

· Experience in a similar role within a food and beverage environment
· Excellent customer services skills
· The ability to work as a team and alone when required
· The ability to work on your own initiative
· Basic Food Hygiene & Basic Health & Safety Certificate are desirable but not essential

Job Title:               Bar Tender

 

Responsible to:     Team Leader / Lounge Manager

 

Liaise with:           Team Leader / Host / Kitchen Assistants

 

Job Summary:       To ensure the bar area is fully stocked, set up and maintained to the company high standard at all times and that the company and statutory licensing laws and regulations are followed. Clear and clean tables and engage with passengers during service.

 

Main Duties and Key Responsibilities:

 

 

  1. To ensure the bars are set up to the company’s high standard and agreed specification.

 

  1. Completion of temperature records, cleaning schedules. Reporting any discrepancies to your line Manager.

 

  1. Ensure that a ready Supply of all service items are available at all times , liaising with Management to ensure a smooth , efficient service to our customers

 

  1. Ensure that all beverages are served to agreed specification and remain within licensing laws at all times.

 

  1. Comply with opening and closing procedures.

 

  1. Comply with all legal & company Procedures relating to food safety, hygiene, health & safety & personal hygiene / Labelling

 

  1. assisting the Management with stock take as and when required.

 

  1. Assisting the Host as and when required.

 

  1. To complete the daily cleaning as per the cleaning schedule.

 

  1. Carry out any reasonable request from any member of the management team at any time. And report to the Management at the end of the shift.

 

  1. Ensure bar areas is cleaned and cleared of clutter at all times.

 

  1. Engage with passengers during service times.

 

Duties towards Personnel

 

  1. Wear the uniform as provided including your name badge & maintain it in good repair. Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene.

 

  1. Ensuring all products stored / displayed are date coded, Stock rotated & labelled correctly. Using the shelf life rule.

 

  1. To follow objectives set by management and use the training given when nessacery.

 

  1. To ensure Company Policies are followed at all times.

 

  1. Ensure all polices relating to deliveries & storage are adhered to in relation of health, food safety e.g. quality, quantity & Temperature.

 

Administration Duties

 

  1. Sign in and out when on shift to ensure hours worked is paid correctly. Follow shift roster’s.

 

  1. To attend training sessions & meetings as and when requested.

 

  1. To report immediately any incidents of accidents, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food, or any other regulations to the line manager.

 

 

  1. To report any issues of health & safety immediately to a member of management.

 

 

  1. To ensure that Health & Safety Legislation is adhered to.

 

 

This Job Description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for a Bar tender and the range of duties to be undertaken.

It does not attempt to detail every activity. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the post holder at regular intervals. You will be required at all times to perform any other reasonable task, as requested by your Line Manager
