Back of House Manager

We are looking for a hardworking and dedicated individual to join us and lead the back of house (BOH) function, you will ensure the cleanliness of all kitchen facilities and storage are maintained, that all of the BOH team are working safely, and in line with organisational policy.

You will have previous experience within a similar role and will be a confident communicator, able to interface at all levels.

Role Responsibility

  • Support the Head Chef to deliver the smooth and effective running of all BOH areas.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of pantry, storeroom, and non-cooking kitchen workers as well as maintenance of premises and equipment.
  • Carrying out inspections of areas, including but not limited to, kitchens, workrooms, storerooms and equipment for cleanliness and order.
  • Organise training, rotas, and employment for the cleaning team.
  • Ensure that people are trained accordingly.
  • Operationally support any functions and activities preparing room and equipment for Front of House and Back of House.
  • Understand and demonstrate the vision of Bateaux London business

The Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrable experience in a high-volume environment – major events or banqueting operation
  • A competent communicator and ability to present to colleagues and peers
  • An intermediate level Food Hygiene qualification
  • Evidence of being organised and possess excellent planning skills
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a small team of casual KPs and cleaners

 

Package Description

£30,000pa-34,000pa (pro rata) + excellent benefits 

Location: Bateaux London, Embankment Pier  

Fixed term contract until 31.08.22

Work Pattern – 40 hrs pw Monday to Friday with flexibility to include some weekends
