As Assistant Manager, you will support the General Manager in leading the team in constantly exceeding our client’s expectations, in the delivery of an awesome service, and in the continuous development of each and every team member!
We are looking for an Assistant Manager who brings excitement, energy and passion to work every day, who can get the best from our team and who can build strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, while supporting in the delivery against contract obligations. Attention to detail and an attitude of continuous learning and improvement are also critical. The role will involve working alongside many people, from team members, to clients, to internal Sodexo stakeholders, so effective communication is vital.

We will ask you, if not already qualified, to undergo Level 3 Food Safety and Health & Safety qualifications, which we will fund. Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for Assisting the General Manager in the operational management of our food & drink contract in Sussex, including:
- Day to day leadership of the entire delivery team, and their ongoing development
- Supporting in managing a range of suppliers, vendors and contractors
- Ensuring that both locations continually exceed expectations around food safety and health & safety
- We have implemented a mobile-first strategy for our client, so the role will involve overseeing the system, its continuous development and improvement, and utilising reporting and data to inform our client and make decisions.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Comfortable with technology and working with data to tell a story
- Experienced in a Supervisory or Management level food-only workplace contracts
- Experience in leading teams, and capable of getting the best out of every team member
- Someone with rigorous attention to detail and a consistent high standard for food service delivery
- Someone with a can-do attitude and who can take initiative to deliver
- Experienced in working with multiple stakeholders
- Focused on retention and continuous improvement of team members
- Financially aware and able to support the Management Team in achieving the financial goals of the contract
