Assistant Finance Manager

No fixed place of work - Full time

We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven Assistant Finance Manager to support a major UK&I contract and play a key role in its transition from a fixed-price model to a transparent cost model (TCM). This role requires strong analytical capability, excellent stakeholder engagement, and confidence working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

The role supports a £40m UK&I contract spanning 58 sites across the country, with 20 of those sites scheduled to transition to the Transparent Cost Model.

As a Assistant Finance Manager you'll: 

  • Support the UK&I finance team with contract reporting, analysis and month-end processes

  • Lead the transition to a transparent cost model across allocated sites

  • Produce accurate TCM reporting, margin analysis and financial outputs

  • Analyse results and support stakeholder conversations to drive efficiencies and savings

  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities for both the client and internal teams

  • Support P&L performance reviews and drive accuracy across financial processes

  • Build strong working relationships with operational teams, central finance and client contacts

What we're looking for:

  • Studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA desirable
  • Experience within the facilities management sector is preferred

  • Strong Excel skills and competence in Word and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of financial systems and budgetary control

  • Excellent organisational, communication and business partnering skills

  • High attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality

  • Ability to prioritise workload, work independently and meet tight deadlines

  • A proactive approach, able to work calmly and effectively under pressure

  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
