Assistant Development Chef - Aviation Services
Job Introduction
This is a unique opportunity to enhance your career as a Chef. A specialist, craft focused Assistant Development Chef is required to support the creation and delivery of all catering across our aviation business. This role has a national remit and requires travel to the following airports: London Heathrow/Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow.
Role Responsibility
- Work with the Aviation Executive Development Chef to support all airport catering operations in regards to menu development, team training/coaching, service improvement and trouble shooting
- Ensure that all sites are complying with company standards in relation to food standards & offer implementation
- Provide support to the Executive Development Chef on any new menu or food roll out initiatives
- Ensure that methods of preparation, production and presentation comply with Sodexo’s standards and procedures.
- Ensure that excellent levels of service are being delivered to the customers.
- Compliance with all Company & Client policies, site rules and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH.
The Ideal Candidate
- Excellent craft experience, ideally within a similar development role or from a corporate/hotel/hospitality background
- Industry acumen and knowledge of external catering developments & innovations
- Experience with supporting different operations/teams and providing training & coaching
- Problem solver, with an excellent eye for detail and passion for food and service
- Experienced in adhering to and driving company initiatives
- Proven ability communicating at different levels
- Experience working in a standards /compliance environment
- Relevant qualification and training
- Flexible approach to work and travel
