Assistant Catering Manager ( Eton College Windsor)

Independents by Sodexo have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Catering Manager to join our talented team at Eton College, Windsor a prestigious School set within a stunning Location.

Role Responsibility

 
  • Work alongside the Catering Manager, to ensure the smooth, efficient and effective catering service in Bekynton and associated areas.  In addition to act as cover for the Catering Manager in his/her absence.
  • Support the Catering Manager in the day to day management of the Catering Teams – compiling rotas and updating staffing schedules to ensure efficient resource allocation
  • To oversee the administration function within Bekynton  (and other associated Sodexo operational areas within the Eton College estate) which includes payroll, bookwork, data processing and financial reporting; and managing the administration team
  • To ensure the daily food safety and allergen paperwork is completed to the required standard and to report/take action on shortfalls

The Ideal Candidate

  • A recognised food hygiene qualification
  • Knowledge of volume catering
  • Clear understanding of Health and Safety legislation
  • Clear understanding of Food Hygiene legislation
  • Ability to supervise and develop junior members of the catering team
  • Ability to co-ordinate and deliver event hospitality
  • You have a flexible approach to work and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • You enjoy working as part of a team and you are happy to get stuck in and support your colleagues
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to nurture a good working relationship with other departments and stakeholders
  • You’re able to work unsupervised and use your own initiative
  • You have good verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • You have good time management skills, well presented and have the ability to prioritise
  • Able to manage a team, supervisory or management experience
  • Resilient
  • Ability to set and achieve standards
  • High standard of literacy and numeracy and highly skilled in IT
