Artworker (Typesetting and Formatting)

Job Introduction

Join our dynamic team as a creative and detail-oriented individual with a passion for big-brand creation and professionally designed bid responses. As an internal creative agency, we focus on bespoke projects, including large-scale documents, digital experiences, video production, and online journeys.

We are seeking a candidate skilled in typesetting and formatting content into beautifully designed document layouts, often in collaboration with our Senior Creative Designers. This role, while primarily focused on artworking, also involves design aspects such as retouching and image sourcing. A keen understanding of how copy and visual elements intertwine, as well as proficiency in setting up style guides, is crucial.

Our ideal candidate is not necessarily a full package designer/artworker or someone who primarily prepares artwork for print in repro/print houses. The role is centred more on typesetting and formatting for both printed documents (ranging from 50 to 300 pages) and online publications or microsites, requiring some design knowledge and a meticulous eye for detail. Concept creation and brand ideation are not primary responsibilities, but digital savvy is highly valued in this position.

What you’ll do:
  • Read and understand RFI or RFP documentation to grasp project requirements.
  • Support the proposal review process to deliver complete and high-quality submissions.
  • Provide technical art working and design advice to sales teams based on discussions with graphic designers.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy of information.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline proposal development.
  • Support and facilitate workshops with the Creative Lead to develop compelling submission documents.
  • Manage timelines and outputs while delivering multiple projects on time.

What you bring:
  • Experience in working with senior management to effectively manage timelines and outputs.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering multiple projects on time.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience in supporting business development.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage small to medium-sized tenders with shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe CC, and excellent working knowledge of InDesign is essential.
  • Keen eye for design and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Skills and knowledge in Illustration, Animation, 3D design, and digital/UX are desired but not essential.
To apply for this position, please submit your CV and portfolio highlighting your design projects and contributions to bid submissions. We look forward to reviewing your application and discovering how your creativity can help shape a better future with Sodexo.
