Apprenticeship - Facilities Operative

Job Introduction

Do you want to be that go-to person?  The one who answers the questions, with the know how to keep the facilities running like clockwork? We are looking to recruit an Apprentice Facilities Operative where you will be trained and working within the Hard FM/Technical Services Division to support the facilities operations within Headingly Stadium, Leeds!
 

You will be trained throughout your apprenticeship to:

• Carry out property maintenance tasks including minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, tiling, painting & decorating
•  Operate within the Site Permit and SSOW procedures.
• Undertake portable appliance testing.
• Water hygiene statutory maintenance tasks, such as: monthly temperature reading, weekly flushing and associated tasks to comply with L8 ACoP.
• Operation of fault diagnosis for the Building Management System (BMS)
• Running the test report for the emergency lighting system
• Maintain Sodexo issued tools, equipment, PPE to a safe and good working order of condition.
• General maintenance repairs and decoration.
• Maintaining & updating the site maintenance log via our online system SYPRO
• Assisting with office moves.
•  Maintain stocks of critical spares and other stock pertaining to responsibilities.
• The accurate completion of all task sheets or appropriate soft copy/ electronic equivalent with relevant information.
• To be a focal point for proactive service delivery to all aspects of the building and plant maintenance.
• To perform all maintenance tasks safely and within the PTW system.
• Ensure that all sub-contractors are carrying out tasks with RAMS supplied and PTW issue.
• To proactively seek and remedy building defects in a timely and professional manner.
• To build professional relationships with all stakeholders (client and own team)
• To proactively seek to enhance personal skill set with the aim of improved service.

We are looking for someone who wants to train to become a skilled, time served Facilities Operations professional.

Previous experience is not essential, however, we are looking for someone who is/has:

• A flexible attitude and is enthusiastic

• Positive approach to work and great at problem solving
• Ability to create effective working relationships
• Ability to comply with company policies and procedures
• Most importantly - Having a CAN DO attitude.

• 1 Year Full Time Apprenticeship opportunity (Full time permanent position guaranteed at end of Apprenticeship (pending successfully passing apprenticeship programme)
• £6.40 - £11.44 per hour (age dependant)
• Working 5 days out of 7
• Shift pattern - Various shifts - Earliest 8.30am - Latest 9.30pm (approx times)
