Job Introduction

Administrator

Location: HMP Altcourse  

Salary: Up to £24880.17 depending on experience

Working hours: 40hr per week 

As an Administrator at HMP Altcourse, you’ll provide general administration support to your relevant functional area.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys multitasking, and has excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

About You: 

Experience and knowledge requirement for this role: 

  • You will be responsible to preparing and maintaining key documents/files, working with system date entry and liaison with outside agencies. 
  • You will be in charge of dealing with queries in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring good attention to detail to aid output and delivery within the department.
  • To carry out other miscellaneous duties as directed by the HMP Altcourse Management Team 
  • You will be corresponding with key internal and external stakeholders on all administrative matters within your allocated function.
  • To be considered for the role you must have IT knowledge, including working with Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • You must have excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience in a multi tasked, fast paced administrative role is essential. 
  • Experience in a similar environment or role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience with prison systems (i.e., NOMIS / CMS) is desirable. 
  • The ability to pro-actively solve problems and offer solutions when faced with challenges.
