Job Introduction:
As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping the site running smoothly. You'll be responsible for supporting the accurate and timely financial administration of the Mess, including billing, debtor/creditor management, and customer service.
What You'll Do:
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records using internal systems
- Produce and issue monthly mess bills on time
- Allocate and reconcile Direct Debits and cash payments
- Maintain debtor and creditor ledgers to support effective cash flow
- Respond to mess member queries promptly and professionally
- Maintain accurate mess membership lists (joiners, leavers) import EPOS sales, monthly charges, and function charges
- Manage private function billing (quotes, invoices, payment links) and process related forms
- Ensure secure storage and banking of cash/cheques in line with procedures
- Generate and send reports to stakeholders and clients
Experience Required:
- Minimum AAT Level 2 Qualification
- Previous experience in transactional finance or accounts support
- Excellent literacy and numeracy
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
