As part of the Finance Team you’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, accruals, prepayments, cashflow and will line manage the purchase ledger clerk.

We are looking for a dynamic and independent professional with solid financial accounting experience and a flexible, can-do attitude to join us as an Accountant.

Reporting to Chief Accountant your role will include:

The role of Accountant is to deliver smooth and timely month end close, inspiring confidence from key stakeholder and promoting a right first-time culture. You will ensure the financial accounts are accurate with processes that are supported by robust internal controls. This is a hands-on role that will support all aspects of the finance function that requires a dedicated finance professional who is capable of working under pressure.

The success of this role will be measured by;

The role is mainly office based with minimal travel required

Role Responsibility

The main duties of the role will include:

  • Purchase ledger
  • Cashflow
  • Expense reporting and payments
  • HMRC submissions
  • Nominal ledger maintenance
  • Payroll reconciliations
  • Accruals and Prepayments
  • Fleet management
  • Support with external audit queries and tax queries

 

The general duties of the role will include:

  • Occasionally support with the day-to-day responsibilities of the team when required
  • Be a champion for internal customer service
  • Do any other reasonable things your manager needs you to do
