Accommodation Clerk

Job Introduction

Role: 

 

We are looking for an Accommodation Clerk to join our team at RAF High Wycombe.

 

You will be responsible for managing accommodation bookings, allocation of room keys, and coordinating day-to-day catering requests. This role requires excellent organisational skills as well as strong communication and relationship building.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients and customers to ensure a high level of service.
  • Attend team briefs, huddles, and meetings as required to stay informed and engaged.
  • Participate in performance development reviews to discuss job standards and agree on development activities.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organized work area at all times.
  • Uphold high levels of personal hygiene and adhere to uniform and PPE requirements.
  • Take care of all resources including equipment, materials, and supplies as directed.
  • Report any near misses, accidents, or faulty equipment promptly to management.
  • Ensure effective communication with line managers, team members, customers, and client organizations.
  • Maintain all areas of responsibility to set service standards and align with applicable service offers.
  • Verify entitlement and justification for all accommodation demands and ensure issuance within specified timeframes in line with regulations and management instructions.
  • Manage accommodation bookings and allocate room keys efficiently.
  • Handle day-to-day catering requests related to accommodation.
  • Attend to and maintain accurate records and documentation of military personnel march-ins and march-outs across all accommodations for audit purposes.

 

Experience Needed:

 

  • Previous experience in accommodation management, hospitality, or a clerical/administrative role is preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and multitasking.
  • Familiarity with booking systems and maintaining accurate records is an advantage.
  • Experience in handling customer/client interactions and providing excellent service.
  • Previous experience working with military or government personnel is a plus but not essential.
  • Proven ability to follow regulations and procedures accurately.
