We’re looking for an experienced, forward‑thinking Health & Safety Manager to play a key role in supporting the safe, compliant, and high‑performing delivery of services at ESNEFT. You’ll champion our Zero Harm culture, embed strong safety behaviours, and partner with operational leaders to drive continuous improvement in health, safety, environment, and quality standards.

In this role, you’ll provide expert guidance across regulatory compliance, risk management, audit, incident reporting and cultural development—ensuring that our people, patients, clients and partners are protected, informed and supported every day.

What You’ll Do

  • Support and promote an integrated management system that strengthens proactive health, safety and environmental culture across operational teams.
  • Facilitate and support the development of HSEQ committees, safety walks and other engagement initiatives across the ESNEFT contract.
  • Lead and maintain high standards through audits, inspections and performance monitoring, ensuring expectations around safety behaviours are met.
  • Ensure Health & Safety Management Systems align to ISO 45001 and integrate into wider company quality systems.
  • Promote compliance with Sodexo’s Integrated Audit Management System and ensure all units are audited within required timelines.
  • Provide expert advice to managers on environmental, health and safety obligations, supporting them to meet legal and best‑practice expectations.
  • Assist with the delivery of operational technical training to strengthen safety awareness, competency and compliance.
  • Monitor claims trends in partnership with the National Claims Lead and support reporting for senior leaders.

What You’ll Bring

  • NEBOSH Diploma Level 6 (or equivalent) and Chartered IOSH membership.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO22000 quality management systems.
  • Detailed, up‑to‑date knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders, internally and externally.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and personal development within HSE disciplines.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to produce clear factual reports and presentations.
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail, able to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
  • Confident working independently and collaboratively, with a diplomatic, assertive, and approachable style.

What we offer:

  • Working at Sodexo isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to make a difference every day. You'll be part of a supportive team, act with purpose, and thrive in a role where your work matters. We also offer a range of benefits to support you and your loved ones:
