Sodexo is seeking a reliable and skilled Grounds Maintenance Operative to deliver high-quality grounds and building maintenance services in line with client expectations and Sodexo standards. This role involves a variety of manual and support duties, with a focus on grounds maintenance using heavy machinery, facilities support, and safe operational practices.
Carry out scheduled maintenance of grounds using appropriate tools and heavy machinery.
Complete building maintenance and facilities tasks as directed by the line manager or supervisor.
Support logistical tasks, such as delivery handling, porterage, and meeting room set-up.
Escort sub-contractors and visitors, ensuring compliance with site rules and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of completed work and report faults or defects promptly.
Follow all Health & Safety, COSHH, and company policies at all times.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a smart, professional appearance.
Remain flexible and responsive to changing priorities across all service lines.
Previous experience in a facilities or maintenance role.
Familiarity with Health & Safety procedures and standards.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Able to prioritise tasks, work independently, and manage time effectively.
Confident operating grounds maintenance equipment and handling manual tasks.
Reliable, flexible, and a team player with a positive, solution-focused attitude.
