Food Service Assistant
Belfast City, NI - Part Time (30h) - Permanent

What you'll do
- Assist with the preparation, presentation, and service of food in line with company standards and HACCP guidelines
- Deliver excellent customer service, creating a friendly and welcoming environment
- Carry out cashier duties accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of counters, tables, condiments, and all service areas
- Support with stock rotation and safe storage of goods (first in, first out)
- Ensure equipment is used safely, maintained, and faults reported promptly
- Monitor and record fridge/freezer/hot cupboard temperatures in line with food safety standards
- Follow company and statutory policies including Health & Safety, food hygiene, COSHH, and emergency procedures
What you'll bring
- Previous experience working in a catering or hospitality team (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with a positive, approachable attitude
- Ability to adapt to a standards-driven, compliance-focused environment
- Strong teamwork skills, working effectively and professionally with colleagues and customers
- Willingness to learn, receive training, and continuously improve service standards
- High personal hygiene, professional appearance, and adherence to uniform requirements
- A proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and handle incidents responsibly
- Reliability, flexibility, and commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality service
