We are looking for Electrical Engineer to join our team. To support the delivery of statutory, legislative, and mandatory electrical maintenance on a client site. The role involves carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, as well as undertaking minor new works as directed, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practice standards.
What You’ll DoDiagnose electrical faults and repair assets within technical capability.
Undertake routine maintenance and ensure systems are maintained to appropriate regulatory and best practice standards.
Carry out like-for-like asset replacement and minor new works as directed.
Build and maintain professional working relationships with clients and internal teams.
Support and mentor trade apprentices.
Make decisions within parameters set by the Line Manager, using job-specific knowledge and experience.
Maintain awareness of cost/benefit considerations applicable to tasks performed.
Promote sustainability and understand the environmental impact of actions taken.
Adhere to health and safety procedures and safe systems of work at all times.
Approximately 7 years’ experience as a Technician in a technical maintenance environment.
Previous supervisory experience.
Capable of fulfilling an Authorised Person / Responsible Person role.
Strong practical electrical engineering skills, with working knowledge of engineering compliance and best practice standards.
Experience working independently and managing workload effectively.
Practical experience working to health and safety standards and safe systems of work.
Understanding of Helpdesk procedures and workflow requirements.
Full, clean UK driving licence (25+)
NVQ Level 5 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Systematic approach to problem solving.
IT literate, with experience using Microsoft Office and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members.
Ability to self-manage, prioritise and meet deadlines.
