Location: Ipswich Hospital

Hours: Saturday & Sunday, 07:00 am – 15:00 pm (7.5 hrs per day, 15 hrs per week)

Pay: £12.51 per hour

Are you committed to creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and visitors? Join our team as a Domestic Assistant and play a vital role in infection prevention and patient care.

What you’ll do:

• Deliver high-quality cleaning services across wards, departments, and public areas.
• Perform routine cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing floors.
• Clean furniture, fittings, bathrooms, and toilets to maintain hygiene standards.
• Safely dispose of domestic and clinical waste.
• Replenish essential supplies such as soap, hand towels, and toilet paper.
• Respond to ad-hoc cleaning requests, following infection control guidelines.
• Use cleaning materials and equipment safely, complying with COSHH regulations.
• Communicate politely and professionally with patients, visitors, and staff.

What we’re looking for:

• Manual handling training and basic literacy skills.
• Ability to work safely and follow instructions.
• Strong communication and customer care skills.
• High standards of personal hygiene and attention to detail.
• Flexible, positive approach and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
