As Compliance Operative, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring all buildings and systems across campus remain safe, compliant and fully operational.
This is a hands-on role combining planned preventative maintenance (PPM), compliance checks (particularly water hygiene), reactive support, and accurate record keeping. You’ll work closely with the Engineering Lead and wider facilities team to deliver operational excellence in line with statutory regulations and service level agreements.

Carrying out planned compliance checks including water temperature monitoring and system flushing (ACOP L8)
Completing PPM tasks and responding to reactive maintenance requests
Maintaining accurate physical and electronic logbooks
Supporting statutory compliance across building services
Liaising with contractors and supporting audits
Undertaking minor repairs and general handyman tasks when required
Ensuring all works are carried out safely and in line with H&S regulations
Supporting KPIs and SLAs through timely, high-quality service delivery

Experience in facilities maintenance, compliance, or building services
Knowledge of water hygiene / ACOP L8 compliance (desirable but highly beneficial)
Experience completing logbooks and compliance documentation
Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
Flexible approach, with occasional out-of-hours support if required
