Position:
Chef at Sodexo, JRDC Waterloo Lines, Warminster.
Join Sodexo in a unique and rewarding catering role within a Ministry of Defence (MOD) environment. You’ll work alongside military personnel, preparing high-quality meals and supporting a range of exciting functions. This is an opportunity to be part of something bigger, where your culinary skills make a real impact in a fast-paced, professional setting.
What you’ll do:
Assist with the preparation, cooking, and service of meals in a busy kitchen environment
Maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene, ensuring full compliance with EHO guidelines
Work collaboratively with the front-of-house team to deliver outstanding service
Prepare and serve meals to military personnel, consistently achieving high standards
Oversee kitchen cleanliness and ensure sanitation best practices are always followed
Support high-profile events and special functions, showcasing your culinary expertise
Participate in bulk cooking, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation
What we’re looking for:
Professional chef or cook experience within a catering or hospitality environment
Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, team-focused setting
A genuine passion for cooking and delivering excellent service
Desirable Skills:
Experience in military or government catering environments
IOSH qualification or equivalent
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Recognised culinary qualifications (City & Guilds 706/1 & 2, NVQ Level 2/3)
