Sodexo is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Chef to join our catering team, delivering high-quality food and outstanding service in a clean, welcoming environment. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will support all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and service, while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation. This is a hands-on role that combines kitchen excellence with customer interaction, ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, values teamwork, and is committed to upholding Sodexo’s standards and values.
What you'll do:
- Deliver a friendly, efficient customer service across all catering areas, maintaining high standards of communication and professionalism.
- Support the Head Chef with all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, baking, and service.
- Ensure food is presented, served, and handled in a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in line with company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of all catering areas, equipment, and service spaces, including counters, tables, utensils, and vending machines.
- Assist with service operations and controls, including stock replenishment, temperature checks, deliveries, till operation, training, and other reasonable management requests.
What you'll bring:
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional, friendly approach.
- Previous kitchen experience with the ability to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
- A good understanding of health & safety practices and the importance of personal presentation.
- Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work a variety of shifts as required by the business.
- Must be aged 25 or over and hold a full, valid driving licence.
