Catering Manager

London, W2 6BD

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Catering Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of catering operations, including core service and on-site events. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality food and service, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining full compliance with health and safety standards.

The Catering Manager will plan, coordinate, and manage catered events and daily service operations from initial client consultation through to successful delivery. You will bridge client satisfaction with operational excellence to ensure smooth, profitable, and compliant service delivery.

As a Catering Manager

you'll:

  • Client & Event Planning
    • Manage client consultations, budgeting, tastings, and event delivery

    • Oversee event days and on-site initiatives

  • Team Leadership

    • Recruit, train, schedule, and develop team members

    • Lead and motivate kitchen, service, and support staff

  • Operations Management

    • Maintain food quality, presentation, and service standards

    • Oversee equipment, venue setup, stock control, and daily operations

  • Financial Control

    • Manage budgets, control costs, and achieve GP% and revenue targets

    • Monitor stock and minimise waste

  • Quality & Compliance

    • Ensure high service standards and full health, safety, and hygiene compliance

    • Manage audits, inspections, training, and documentation

  • Supplier Management

    • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers

    • Manage contracts and maintain strong partnerships

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities

  • Highly organised with strong problem-solving capability

  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and catering business management

  • Experience managing budgets and financial performance

  • Confident managing compliance in a regulated environment
