Job Introduction

An exciting opportunity for an experience Throughcare professional to join the Sodexo Justice Services team and HMP Bronzefield.  

Role Responsibility

  • Oversee all targets attributable to all 4 areas
  • Act as an operational manager including adjudicator
  • Advise the Director and Deputy Director surrounding Commissioning intentions and other NOMS guidance
  • Oversee the Quality Assurance process of Oasys for HMP Bronzefield and ensure there adequate numbers of staff to cover.
  • Steer ROTL, Sentence Planning, OCA, HDC, Categorisation and re categorisation processes ensuring are compliant with their governing PSO/PSI’s/LOP’s and that transfers are in line with Women’s allocation strategy.
  • Ensure adequate reducing re-offending and resettlement policies are in place and up to date
  • Assist the deputy director in the steering of the resettlement Committee
  • Oversee all resettlement led agencies working in HMP Bronzefield ensuring security clearance and SLA’s are in place and up to date
  • Oversee the functionality of the PNC process and ensure that PNC’s are printed within the guidelines. Be the establishments PNC auditor.
  • Lead on P Nomis integration
  • Oversee the integration of managing the custodial sentence
  • Ensure team meetings, PDR’s and one to ones are had across the department at all levels
  • Represent HMP Bronzefield at the reducing re-offending steering group 

The Ideal Candidate

  • A working knowledge of PSO 4700 Managing ISP and IPP Offenders
  • Trained Oasys assessor/ Supervisor and Quality Assurer
  • An understanding of HDC, OCA, ROTL, Categorisation/ Re categorisation and Sentence Planning PSO/PSI/LOP requirements
  • Experience in Line Management
  • Oversight of the PNC process and Auditing of the PNC machine
  • An ability to lead a team and make timely defensible decisions
  • A non judgemental understanding of the issues affecting women in a custodial environment and an awareness of key social problems affecting their effective resettlement into the community.
  • Developed communication skills, oral and written.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate well to others.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and on an individual basis.
  • Effective organisational skills including the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Experience of working within a custodial environment
  • Understanding of the wider criminal justice system
  • Strong management experience
