Stores Operative

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Stores Operative (warehouse and distribution) to join our busy team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

As a Stores Operative you will be responsible for:

 

  • Providing efficient and accurate loading, delivery and installation of Defence Accommodation Stores (DAS) to MoD properties
  • Providing a first class front line customer service
  • Ensuring general maintenance and warehouse duties of the Supply Store and associated items and the Supply Store Road Transport Fleet are maintained
  • Handling and documenting deliveries against order sheets, maintaining stock levels, keeping storage areas clean and tidy
  • Complying with Safety, Health and Environment legislation
  • Working with the supervisor to suggest ways of reducing and managing outgoing waste appropriately

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate for this role will have:

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • The ability to work in a team and have the ability to multi-task
  • Good attention to detail with good numeracy skills
