Job Introduction

This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your operational management career.  The Sodexo team on site at a major pharmaceutical company require an exceptional general service manager to head up the delivery of Sodexo’s services across 2 sites.

Working at this high profile site, this role will see you join and lead a highly motivated and service focused team at a true centre for excellence.

Role Responsibility

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Effectively manage the on site Sodexo team and Supply Chain Partners to ensure that exemplary facilities services are provided across the 2 sites
  • Manage the full P and L account for all services across 2 sites (total P and L £5.5million)
  • Directly manage 6 line manages and indirectly approximately 200 staff.  Motivate and lead team to achieve high performance at all times
  • Deliver operational excellence across all Sodexo services, including catering, cleaning, logistics, grounds maintenance, pest control and laboratory support services (24 services in total)
  • Manage and control the services to the agreed specification and to the agreed performance, qualitative and financial targets
  • Provide direction and expertise to the operating area by promoting Sodexo strategies and best business practices in order to uphold the Company mission and values
  • Ensure strong client relationship is developed and maintained, allowing for organic growth opportunities

The Ideal Candidate

Experience required

 

  • Proven experience of managing a range of out sourced services (catering, cleaning and logistics) on a multi site basis in a pharmacutical environment
  • High levels of financial acumen with proven experience of managing a P and L account.
  • Ability to lead and manage change programmes on a multi-site basis
  • Strong knowledge of Health and safety and compliance in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication, and negotiation skills
  • Proven experience of developing profitable relationships with key stakeholders
  • Clear, strategic thinker  

Package Description

Up to £55,000 plus bonus and flexible benefits
