Senior Human Resources Advisor - Australia

Job Introduction

We are seeking a Senior Human Resources Advisor to provide HR support to various remote sites across Australia. Reporting to the HR Business Partner for Sodexo Remote Sites you will be responsible for delivering a high quality HR service by proactively engaging with managers and employees on people related matters, and providing clear and consistent advice, coaching and related support. The role requires regular site visits but will be based in the Sodexo Perth office.

Role Responsibility

 

  • Provide accurate and timely advice to management and personnel in the areas of HR policies, employee working conditions, performance management, benefits and remuneration.
  • Ensure advice, coaching and related support is aligned with Sodexo Business & HR strategy and values
  • Ensure Sodexo HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented across all Sites within both Sodexo Remote Sites and Sodexo Australia segments
  • Assist in performance management and reward & recognition in line with company policy, ensuring proactive work practices that maximise employee retention
  • Travel to Remote Sites across WA and Australia to provide HR Support to Managers and Employees when required.
  • Provide support, coaching and guidance to site management to ensure all disciplinary activity is carried out in accordance with legislation
  • Conduct disciplinary investigations and drafting of disciplinary documentation
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic workforce and IR planning to ensure the business is prepared for future growth
  • Develop and facilitate internal workshops/seminars to build skills in managing people (e.g. conducting performance reviews, conducting exit interviews, etc).
  • Analyse monthly reports and make business improvement recommendations.
  • Work on special projects as directed HR Business Partner

The Ideal Candidate

  • Seasoned HR practitioner with a minimum 5 years HR Management experience in services industry is essential
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline are essential
  • Experience in dealing and working with unions
  • Professional written/verbal communications & negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to foster & maintain effective working relationships with all organisational levels
  • Customer focused, organised & self motivated
  • Excellent team management as well as team development capability
  • Broad HR technical knowledge including strong business & commercial acumen
  • Knowledge and experience in process improvement
  • Experience of working within a HR Operations model which has centres of expertise & business partnering would be desirable
  • Sound knowledge of HR practices, legislation & employment law
  • Computer literacy will be essential

Package Description

Up to $80k plus 10% bonus plus 10% pension (depending on experience)
