Awarded a bronze accreditation by Investors in People, HMP YOI Bronzefield focuses on providing needs-based services and programmes aimed at rehabilitating and maintaining the well-being of prisoners.HMP YOI Bronzefield is an all female prison that can hold up to 527 women and runs a 24 hours a day healthcare team.

 

 

Role Responsibility

We are looking for Registered General Nurses and Registered Mental Health Nurses to come and join our dedicated team of professional clinicians.

You will be joining a unique, exciting but challenging environment, where you will have a range of nursing duties, from health promotion to first response emergency care and will be central to the continued successful operation of the site.

We are looking for people who have the ability to run a variety of clinics – such as chronic disease management and venopuncture, the ability to link up and work closely with other agencies to ensure holistic shared care planning for our women.

Full and part time hours are available and you are expected to work across 7 days through a shift pattern system

The Ideal Candidate

Essential:

  • RGN - Registered General Nurse, or RHM - Registered Mental Health Nurse
  • Previous experience and the ability to work in a fast paced environment doing varied nursing duties
  • Up to date NMC registration
  • Experience as a Band 5 equivalent nurse
  • Desire to continuously improve yourself through further development as appropriate
  • Passionate and committed to the role we play in rehabilitating and maintaining the wellbeing of our women

 

 Desirable

  • Previous experience within a secure/custodial environment
