Laboratory Auxiliary

Job Introduction

We currently have a new opportunity for a Laboratory Auxiliary to join our team.

Role Responsibility

As a Laboratory Auxiliary you will be responsible for:

 

  • Consistently maintaining a high standard of laboratory cleanliness and housekeeping through the use of Good Lab Practices
  • Consistently maintain a high standard of waste management within the laboratories
  • Establishing, managing and maintaining the core stock requirements for your area and order stock in response to laboratory needs on a daily basis
  • Establishing good working relationships with key customers, engaging with them on  a regular basis to understand their requirements
  • Proactively assist with integrating new systems into local areas and adapting to new ways of working

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate for this role will have:

 

  • The ability to work flexibly and independently within the Laboratory Auxiliary team across sites
  • Previous experience of working within a laboratory however training will be provided
  • Possess good customer service skills
  • Good communication skills – written and verbal
  • The ability to demonstrate great team work

Package Description

To preform laboratory Auxillary duties within the three functional units of product support these are Envirommental Fate,Chemistry Ecotoxicology . Time apportioned to each duty depends on work demands and resource requirments . Key accountabilities are given below

Waste Management ,housekeeping,Radiochem procedures and reactive tasks

Laboratory auxilliary will be required to maintain a high level of safe working practices and be aware of and adhere to COSHH and risk assessments

Successful applicants will be subject to security checks
