Fitness Centre Manager
Job Introduction
We have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Fitness Centre manager to work at our GSK House site in Brentford. This is a great opportunity for a manager with a real passion for nutrition and healthy living who wants to help educate others.
Role Responsibility
- To manage and develop the facilities including associated areas and activities.
- Four direct reports and their development and succession
- Reception and front of house management
- To ensure all staff comply with Health and Safety legislation, policies and procedures.
- To ensure all equipment and services are properly maintained.
- To manage staff effectively delegating duties as necessary and developing staff to ensure a continuously high level of service.
- To make sure all members are correctly screened, inducted and that suitable fitness programmes are issued and regularly reviewed and updated.
- To responsible for the class schedule, making sure that classes meet with customer requirements. Making sure that all classes are covered and that the class timetable is reviewed on a regular basis.
- To work within agreed budgets.
- Maintain security of takings and be accountable for the income.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a similar role focusing on relationship building and customer service
- Excellent managerial skills and experience of managing P&L accounts
- Good communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels
- Good financial awareness
- Personal innovation and passion
- Experience working in a standards/compliance environment
