Room Attendant

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Room Attendant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • Ensure the cleaning of bedrooms and corridors are to/or are equivalent to a 4* standard and that they are ready for use before guests arrive.
  • Support ground floor cleaning team as and when required with offices, meeting rooms, atria and public washrooms as agreed in cleaning schedule in line with Service Level Agreements as directed by the Head Housekeeper.
  • Ensure all rubbish from designated areas is removed.
  • Ensure that each store area serving your allocated work area is kept clean, tidy and secure at all times.
  • Ensure all entrance and exit points are clean and tidy at all times
  • Ensure that internal buffering is completed as per the cleaning schedule.
  • Report any maintenance/building issues and requirements you may discover during your working day.
  • Ensure that lost property is recorded and dealt with according to the procedure as directed by the House Manager.
  • Minimise operating costs by using all equipment and products in accordance with company or manufacturing guidelines.
  • Demonstrate care of duty for manual handling of furniture and equipment in line with health and safety guidelines.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will:

Essential

  • Have full understanding of cleaning techniques.
  • Be self motivated.
  • Have an understanding of COSHH.
  • Be able to work as part of a team.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Clean to high standards.

Desirable

  • Be flexible to work weekends.
  • Have good customer service skills.
  • Be able to prioritize.
  • Have hotel experience.
