Conferencing and Banqueting Manager

Job Introduction
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the management team at a prestigious event venue and sporting stadium. With excellent organisational skills, you will oversee a large scale event operation delivering services for up to 4,500 people on match days, plus dinners and planned major events
Role Responsibility
- Effective management of the conferencing and banqueting operation, organising events for up to 4,500 on match days and other large scale events and dinners
- Forecast and plan for 10 major events per year, such as concerts and match days, ensuring that we deliver a well organised and efficient service
- Proactive planning of events and efficient team management to ensure a seamless, well executed operation on the day
- Ensure the highest quality of food and customer service as per Company standards and client expectation.
- Implement and maintain the Statutory and Company standards of hygiene, health and safety and take any action as is necessary.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous conferencing and banqueting experience, ideally within a large venue
- Experience of planning for large scale events an advantage
- Proven track record of managing a team within a similar environment
- Good financial awareness and experience of budget management
- Highly organised with a proactive and “hands on” approach to work
- Literate in IT
- Excellent communication skills
