Multi Skilled Technician

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Multi Skilled Technician to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • Diagnose and solve operational problems to maintain the day to day efficient running of plant
  • Co-ordinate activities and resources and aim to ensure work schedules are completed effectively and on time
  • Take ownership for improvements to maintenance techniques
  • Complete planned maintenance activities to the required standards and ensure co-ordination with schedule and operational requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through identification of best practice, proposing options and implementing solutions
  • Identify work for specialist contractors and co-ordinate technical operations
  • Work effectively as a member of the team in order to ensure that effective communication channels and efficient working practices are maintained within the working period/team
  • Ensure that all scheduled maintenance activities are carried out on time in accordance with an engineering plan
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe and compliant manner
  • Be on a call out rota
  • Support project work – act as works rep
  • Be flexible toward work requests, supporting the wider FM team , when required

 

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Skills knowledge across several of the following (it is understood there may be a bias toward Mech / Elec or Inst)
  • Ability to use initiative and undertake core tasks independently
  • IT Literate
  • Technical expertise in specific area of work

Desirable

  • Good understanding of engineering principles
  • Poses a good understanding of GMP regulations.
  • Ability to work on a SAP CMMS system
