Finance Analyst
Job Introduction
Sodexo are currently recruiting an experienced part qualified Finance Analyst to work in our Sports Leisure & Travel segment. You will be tasked with gathering; developing, maintaining and analysing accurate performance data in order to assist the management team in the efficient running and performance improvement of this segment. Role Responsibility
- Develop and maintain various financial models and standard templates to assist in the effective running of the segment and contracts within it.
- Produce monthly review packs for the management teams on business critical activities (may include analysis of actual v budget, actual v forecast, forecast projection, project activity vs. forecast, trend data etc.) for discussion.
- Work with the Head of Commercial Projects, wider finance team and key operational teams to provide data to produce accurate budgets and forecasts and to assist in reporting and justifying actual financial performance against targets.
- Assist the Head of Commercial Projects in the review of performance data to identify areas of concern and best practice to investigate/ disseminate.
- Work with the segment operational, human resources and marketing teams to develop and implement site and segment specific reporting to drive efficiencies and improve profit.
- Implement models to assist in driving clear forecasts for services within the segment and for new business opportunities.
- Analyse labour productivity across sites and work with the Head of Commercial Projects and operational managers to identify areas for focus and opportunity and where best practice can be identified.
The Ideal Candidate
Essential
- Part qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- Strong analytical skills including building models and data mining
- Ability to process data from disparate sources and generate meaningful management information, produce financial reports in a clear and concise manner for financial and non-financial personnel
- Excellent IT skills MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint is required)
- Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills and be comfortable interacting with management of all levels
- Highly motivated and passionate and able to use initiative to work equally well alone or as part of a team.
- Driving licence and own vehicle
Desirable
- Knowledge of budgetary management and accounting principles and procedures
- Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team and flexible in approach
- Knowledge of Financial Systems/ Tools including SAP & Hyperion
Other information
- Ability to travel between sites where necessary in order to carry out duties and training.
- Evenings and weekends maybe required
