Warehouse Cleaner

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a cleaner to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

• To carry out Sodexo Cleaning in Specific Areas and on Job Specific tasks to the required standard established by the Service Level Agreement.

• To be flexible in order to cover the provision of the Service Level Agreement including day, night and weekend working.

• To effectively undertake cleaning duties to include: ride on machine scrubbing / sweeping floors, emptying bins, mopping spills, dusting / wiping / cleaning surfaces, recycling, litter picking, and the cleaning of; staff restaurant, locker rooms, toilets, corridors, stair ways and officers.

• Undertake all required training in relation to all aspects of the cleaning service delivered to the client, as requested.

• Complete a schedule of cleaning tasks, as directed by the cleaning Site Manager.

• Wear the company uniform at all times whilst at work.

• Wear any items of personal protective equipment, as specified by the Site Manager.

• Comply with all client policies / procedures in relation to housekeeping / infection control / security.

• Ensure that all requirements in relation to COSHH are adhered to, as specified by the Site Manager.

• Ensure that the site/cleaning offer colour coding policy is adhered to at all times.

• Ensure the appropriate safety signage is used at all appropriate times e.g. wet floor signs / cleaning in progress signs.

• To deal with any issues / complaints from customers immediately and report directly to your Line Manager.

• To ensure that Cleaning stores are kept clean and tidy and equipment is stored correctly and safely at all times.

• Operate a ride on scrubber drier machine and any other machinery as specified by the Site Manager.

• To ensure all waste is disposed of and segregated correctly.

• To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas.

• Have the ability to work proactively and on own initiative.

• To report all faults in relation to cleaning machinery/equipment to the Site Manager.

• To report all building defects to the Site Manager.

• To carry out any reasonable request, as specified by the Site Manager.

• To be flexible to work additional hours in order to cover holiday and sickness within the team.

The Ideal Candidate

Reliable, Experienced Cleaner Required.

Knowledge of COSHH, Safe Cleaning Methods & H&S

Working as part of team able to work weekends & overtime when required
