UFS Kitchen Manager

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a UFS Kitchen Manager  to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • Provide catering service to company standard within scope of the contract
  • Areas of responsibility- UFS Kitchen (Main Kitchen)-Retail (Home Kitchen) All stores, fridges & freezers
  • To ensure services are provided on time and within contract specification
  • Liaise with staff and actively promote teamwork
  • Assist in maintaining an efficient ordering system in accordance with company policy and client
  • Assist in maintaining an efficient kitchen record system in line with company policy
  • Manage deliveries and stock rooms in line with company policy
  • Control stock; reduce waste, ensuring direct reports are complying.
  • Ensure all areas within kitchen control are clean, hygienic and tidy at all times 
  • Ensure the safety and security of company and client property and Confidential Information
  • Comply with all Sodexo and Client company policies and procedures, statutory regulations relating to your work place, this will include but not limited to fire; health and safety; hygiene; working safely; COSHH.
  • Report all complaints and compliments to line manager, taking action where practicable
  • Report any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food or other irregularities to line manager, taking appropriate action where possible 
  •  Audit & Inspections preparation.
  • Delivery of a consistent Friendly, Willing and Courteous service to a high standard
  • Compliance in all areas of Food Safety, Health and Safety for UFS and Sodexo
  • Passing all audits both internal and external
  • Help and support with Ad Hoc requests
  • Oversee and host events independently for the UFS and Retail Team
  • You will need to be First Aid Trained

The Ideal Candidate

  • Relevant cooking qualifications NVQ Level 2/3
  • Food Safety qualification Level 3
  • Plan support requirements for UFS /Retail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • IT literate
