Technical Administrator - Environmental Services

Job Introduction

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their career in environmental operations as a Technical Administrator. What you need is a good level of IT literacy (knowing your way around MS Word and Excel are the key here), bags of initiative and willingness to learn along with great attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks and ever-shifting priorities. Previous experience in waste/environmental operations would be beneficial but not mandatory.

This role is broad and comes with excellent development and progression opportunities. You will be working in a team of highly experienced professionals on a well-established and prestigious account. We offer a salary of up to £22,000 along with Sodexo employee benefits.

Role Responsibility

  • To provide technical and administrative support to Waste Operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of Waste Management services across all GSK sites that are in the contract scope. 
  • To plan and organise future scheduled activities and maintain associated records. 
  • To ensure all statutory and elective training and equipment records are maintained and current. 
  • To maintain records of waste transfer paperwork, audit schedules, routine tasks, and ensure audit findings and associated actions are resolved. 
  • To ensure Health & Safety, Environment and Quality Assurance records within Waste Operations are current and compliant. 
  • To manage the archiving and destruction of waste documentation. 
  • To provide general administrative support across Waste Operations. 
  • To maintain formal and informal communications with Clients and Customers. 
  • Maintain and contribute to a positive working culture and team environment. 
  • To provide waste data and progress waste operations projects as delegated.  
  • Attend formal and informal Client meetings. 
  • Follow all relevant SOP's and correctly use all IT systems set out in GSK and Sodexo policies

The Ideal Candidate

  • Relevant administrative experience gained in a technical or operational setting  
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing 
  • Computer literate in Word and Excel 

Successful applicant will be subject to GSK Security Check and Standard DBS Check

£20,000 - £22,000 depending on experience
